CANGO was invited to participate in CCICED 2019 Annual General Meeting

On June 3rd, 2019, China Council for International Cooperation on Environmental and Development (CCICED) 2019 Annual General Meeting was held in Hangzhou, the theme of this meeting is “A New Era: Towards a New World of Green Prosperity”. The Annual General Meeting contains plenary and 6 open forums. Over 500 representatives including CCICED’s members and invited advisors, foreign government, international organizations, research institutes, transnational corporations and NGOs participated in this meeting. Participants said that green has become the trend of world development. China should adhere to the concept of green development and strive to achieve win-win results in environmental, economic and social benefits.
At the opening ceremony, Li Ganjie, Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, pointed out that this year is the key year to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and fight to pollution prevention and control battle. We should unswervingly to implement the concept of green development. Erik Solheim, Senior Advisor of World Resource Institute, pointed out that China is leading the world's environmental protection process, we hope China will further enhance its global leadership in the future and share China's best practices on environmental protection with the world.
After the opening ceremony, the plenary heard the Report on Concerns, the introduction of the draft policy recommendations to Chinese government, and report from 6 open forums including High-quality Development and Green Transition during the 14th  FYP period, Post-Katowice Global Climate Governance, Global vision 2050 for Biodiversity Conservation, Blue Economy and Global Ocean Governance, the Belt and Road Initiative and Green Urbanization, Global Environment Governance and Best Industry Practice.
